no, wait. the journey didn’t end there. we went to fx which was conveniently close to senayan city. we i had planned to go there, for two reasons. first, the mini indonesia lego exhibition. second, creole chocolaterie patisserie. and since we found creole first, so we went in to try and satisfy my needs for chocolate.
dome aux grand marnier
after spending like, 15 minutes trying to decide what cakes we should have, i settled on dome aux grand marnier (32k), which had “best seller” printed out on its name tag , while D settled on.. hm.. can’t remember what he had, since the cake had a french name (32k). haha…
bla-bla-bla cake
*trust me the pics don’t do the justice. they look soooo much better in real life!
i also wanted to try their famous iced chocolate drink, but considering i would indulge on what looks like a very chocolatey cake, and the fact that i’ve had a that full-fat drink at tator, so i only had mineral water.
both tasted heavenly, ecstaticly delicious. dome aux grand marnier deserved its fame, while D’s cake was also a top notch. it was pure pleasure to indulge on the cakes. they were two of the best cakes i’ve ever had, i dare say.
we sat at the terrace facing sudirman street, and it wasn’t really convenient, as i could still hear the hustle bustle below, very clearly. if only the terrace was located on the 5th, or 7th floor, it would be much better. but the cool breeze and pinkish purple sky added a really nice touch to the overall ambience.
the day after, a radio announcer said that creole holds chocolate tasting class every once in a while. i want in! i want in!

Nice chocolate, I admit. But too expensive. This is indonesia, not the usa or what. That it only cost 3.5bucks there, with a payroll of 1000 a month at least. Well. If I can bought a plate of food in 50k, I won’t waste my 35k for a chocolate, with a basic salary office worker 2mill. Think about it, they never consider the customer will be back to their cafe every weekend. Make it as a chilling place, gather with their friends. Its too expensive.
You can call me stingy, but is this place meant for upper class people?
